Biography
I have been in education since January 2006. As a classroom teacher, I taught at Oak Mountain Elementary. I served as an Inclusion Teacher for 8 of the 10 years that I was in the classroom. I served in a leadership capacity within my building as well as in the district. I also contracted with AMSTI as a Science trainer. I received the 1st Year Teacher of the Year for Oak Mountain Elementary and I was awarded the Shelby County 1st Year Teacher of the Year. I was also the 2014 Galleria Rock star Teacher of the Year recipient.
I joined the Chilton County School District in 2016 as an Assistant Principal at Chilton County High. In my capacity as a school leader, I have served as the Chilton County School (CCS) Sick Leave Bank Chairman, CCS Accreditation Team Member, CCS EL Advisory Committee Member, and I was a member of the CCS Teacher Evaluation Design Team Committee. Since being "home", I have also had the honor of serving on the Butterfly Bridge Board of Directors.
